Chinese export silver covered Kiddush cup, 19th century.

Round bowl on baluster stem mounted to stepped and flat circular foot. Double domed cover with pointed finial. Engraved bands of imbricated leaves. Comes with the original footed saucer with matching engravings to the goblet.

Marked with Chinese hallmarks.

Kiddush Goblet is a ceremonial vessel to hold wine for the blessing said at Shabbat and Jewish holidays meals.
